Global Bird Fair 2023

The Global Bird Fair is upon us again and we will be exhibiting in the Robin Marquee, stand number R37/38. If you are visiting we’d love to hear about your experience with our feeders.

For the uninitiated, GBF is held at Rutland Show ground on the 14th 15th and 16th of July. The show is epic and has something for everyone. You will find all the obvious bird related things, but also lots of specialist providers of nature holidays, rewilding and much more. It is hard to get around in a day and has lots of speaking events including Andrew and I talking about disease transfer on Saturday afternoon.

It has been quite a year for us, we ended up having to move premises in February out of the blue, that disrupted some of our plans. Not everything we are developing will be completed in time, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be introducing some great innovation.

We will have our new interceptor, a unique receptor which supports the feeder post and collects husks and seed from the feeders without allowing access to birds (disease) and rats (generally unpopular).

In addition we will have our new Cleaner Nest boxes. We have two versions, a standard and a camera version. Nest boxes should be thoroughly cleaned annually, this will stop parasites transferring from generation to generation. Guess what, you can clean the Finches Friend cleaner nest box in five minutes with no tools and without removing it from the wall!

Finally there is an outside chance that we will have our Cleaner Peanut Feeder.

All three new lines will be available from October 1st.
